John Gruetzner

Co Managing Director

John Gruetzner has lived and worked in China for over 28 years.
 
Mr. Gruetzner received a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Toronto, during which time he also attended the University of Nankai in Tianjin.  He is fluent in Mandarin.
 
Before joining Intercedent in 1991, Mr. Gruetzner managed the Canada China Trade Council located in Beijing for two years.  Mr. Gruetzner also served for several years with the National Broadcasting Corporation, De Laurentis Entertainment, and Filmline.
 
John Gruetzner is an owner and co-managing director of Intercedent as well as director of a number of privately-held companies.  He also oversees Intercedent’s offices outside of China.
 
He has command of a diverse range of skills related to conducting business in China market entry and sales development, investment advisory, capital raising and corporate government engagement strategies.
