Alan Reid

Co Managing Director

Mr. Reid is a law graduate of the University of Western Australia.  He has lived and worked full time in China and Hong Kong since 1985 and has significant experience in conducting business in those places.  He is Mandarin speaker.

Between 1992 and 1995, a peak period in the expansion of the Australian-Chinese bilateral trade and investment relationship, Mr. Reid was Minister Commercial and Senior Trade Commissioner at the Australian Embassy in Beijing.  During this period, and subsequently, he has developed a wide range of political and commercial contacts in Asia including a diverse range of Minister and Vice Minister-level bureaucrats and senior corporate managers in Australia, China and Hong Kong.

Between 1996 and 1999, Alan acted as the Chief Operating Officer – China for one of the world’s largest brewing companies which had, at the time, brewing assets in China valued at in excess of USD 150 million.
